SCRATCH BUILD: Fire!

Happy with how these turned out

A short one today, having just finished a 15- minute creation.

So I was scanning the Battlegroup Facebook group and a member shared their short video of a fire marker they’d made. A quick google and YouTube search later, and I’m pulling apart an old cushion and digging out the Christmas decorations!

Here’s a quick guide to creating your own fire and smoke markers and if I can do it you certainly can!

You’ll need cushion foam, battery powered tea lights, hot glue gun, grey and black rattle cans.

Firstly pull apart the cushion foam into a good hand-full. Apply hot glue around the edge of tealight. Press cotton/foam to secure. Rattle can light grey paint across the bottom and middle of the cotton plume, then black. Stretch and shape material as required. Find a dark room and test, voila!

Go on, give it a go!
