While I put off writing AARs for the Sword 80 and Periers Ridge games, I’ve made a start on some Napoleonics.
These will be the first Naps I’ve painted since around 2000, so am doing some tests first. They are 18mm figures by Fizzer Johnson’s Men of Metal and AB Figures. After much consideration I’ve decided to start off with General d’Armee 2 for rules.

Here are the beginnings of a Division of British & Allied forces, and a French Division. I’ve this evening primed with Halfords Grey and given them a black wash.

Apart from collecting around 300 figures so far over the last year, this is the first step to my jump feet first back into Naps!
Am I mad? Probably.

If anything, then, it’s a shared madness! 🙂 Nice to see you start a new project though, Dave, I think you’ve earned it! I’ve always wanted to do Napoleonics but never quite got there and now I think Pike & Shot might be about to tempt me (it’s another period I’ve wanted to do for decades)!

Thanks John, it was a toss up between Napoleonic or Falklands. After the amount of greens and browns I’d painted for Sword 80 I needed a change.
Until I get to the 95th Rifles in green and black that is…! 🤣
