Well my WIP drawers haven’t seen this much action for a while, and it was a good session priming in the garden until I ran out of primer this evening…
WIP Drawers
I generally move things through my WIP drawers from bottom to top as they get closer to the finish line, but for these figures I’ll just leave them in the drawers as complete units as I work through them. Far too much moving them about otherwise, and I’m bound the break a bayonet or two.

At the moment I’m mostly working through a few hundred Napoleonics, with a group of German Panzer Grenadiers for Normandy and some Falklands British to keep things interesting.

With a Bank Holiday coming up, kids away, and wife in post-op recovery, I should get an hour or two in at the desk over the next few days to make some proper progress. It’s been a challenging few months behind, and will be ahead, with the health journey we’re on, but painting toy soldiers has kept me sane and been a real escape from real life.

In a few weeks I’ll be heading to Colours in Newbury which is always a great show, highly recommended. There are some cracking demo and participation games in the works and always a good range of traders, next year I hope to put a game on. Probably Sword, but let’s see.
P.S. The featured image is AI generated – it’s not a bad likeness! Though I won’t be using it to write posts, where’s the fun in that?
Keep healthy and keep on wargaming!

That’s a lot of figures on the go! 😲
