FALKLANDS WAR, Part 4

I’ve returned to 1982 again this weekend, and moved some of the Falklands Campaign bits on a little. Here’s a quick update!

BRITISH FORCES

Full Metal Miniatures Rapier SAM system prepped and ready for priming. This is a dry nice model with a few parts to put together, and looks to be 3D Printed in resin. The figures have metal bodies and resin printed heads, arms, accessories.

I noticed today they’ve also now released a 105mm Light Gun with crew, I’m so very tempted to get one to save building the JB Models I have in the stash.

TQD Castings SAS Troop from CheckPoint Miniatures all blocked in, ready for highlights and basing.

The last figure on the right is the test figure I painted earlier in the month, a 1/76 Matchbox one. After some feedback I’ve painted the SAS in a lighter tone DPM.

ARGENTINIAN FORCES

I’ve done some digging for Argentinian troops and none have really jumped out at me yet. So for now I’ve tested out some Elhiem Miniatures, these are generic Cold War NATO infantry with FN FALS which I’ve then attempted to make a little more Argentinian.

I’ve added hoods and goggles using plastic putty, while the webbing isn’t completely accurate – let’s see how they turn out once primed and then painted!

I’ll post up progress on the Argentinians soon, plus I’ve begun to collect up bits and pieces to build the terrain.

Until next time, keep on wargaming!

Coming along nicely, Dave! 🙂 I can remember having a 1944 model helmet and everyone in my unit had one in a different colour!

Thanks John! A ‘44 model helmet, that must have been reassuring! 😳
